HOW TO OPERATE

A. Reveal the big pressing plate, pull the slider of the tool rest toward the face(or slider of tool move toward the face automatically), and reveal the small pressing plate;

B. Strip the fiber clad, reserve the length from 30mm to 40mm for naked fiber, and clean the factice on the fiber for twice or three times with anhydrous alcohol cotton ball.

C. Place fiber into the guide slot with the left hand. The length of the naked fiber after being cut is 5-20mm(cutting length is random according to the requirement of fusion splicer and other optical fiber equipment )

D. Cover small pressing plate and big pressing plate in proper order, and make sure the fiber vertical to the cutter. Move the slider of the tool rest to complete the process. At the end of the process, the sound of “Bang” will occur due to the falling of broken fiber, which means the completion of fiber cutting.

E. Hold the cutter with the left hand; reveal the big pressing plate with the right hand; Hold fiber with the finger of left hand and reveal the small pressing plate with the right hand at same time. Carefully remove the fiber whose surface has been cut. Note: The fiber surface should be clean enough that there are no other things. 

Easy Maintenance and Adjustment

1. Height adjustment of blade

-- Unscrew height locking bolt

-- Rotate height adjustment jackscrew

-- Fasten the blade fixture bolt

2. Place change of blade cutting edge:

-- Unscrew the blade fixture bolt

-- Rotate blade with cotton swab or pointed tweezers

-- Fasten the blade fixture bolt

3. Chang of blade

-- Unscrew the blade fixture bolt, and take it down

-- Take down the blade with tweezers

-- Set up new blade

-- Fasten the blade fixture bolt
